Legal Cashier
The role
You will process and allocate incoming BACS and telegraphic transfers to the right client and office ledgers, check payment requests for funds, paperwork and sign off, and send outgoing payments through online banking. You will carry out regular bank reconciliations, process counsel and expert fee notes, handle Companies House, SDLT and Land Registry payments, and manage residual balances in line with the Solicitors Accounts Rules. You will also help accounts payable at busy times.
What you will need
At least a year in an accounts role and knowledge of legal accounting software are both useful but not essential. Good IT skills, a confident phone manner, accuracy, and the ability to handle volume and deadlines as part of a team.
