The role
- Investigate professional indemnity notifications, assess cover, liability and value, and help insured professionals respond to complaints and claims.
- Manage your caseload towards resolution, negotiating settlements within delegated authority and escalating issues that need an insurer’s decision.
- Maintain accurate case information, reserves and reports, identify trends and work within agreed service and quality standards.
What you will need
A grounding in claims handling, including technical assessment and practical case management, is sought. You should be able to communicate clearly with insurers, professionals and intermediaries, prioritise deadlines and make proportionate commercial decisions. The role suits someone who enjoys investigating a problem, identifying what information is missing and helping the parties reach a reasoned outcome.
