Employment Defense Associate

Join an employment defense practice advising employers and handling disputes across California. Your work will include developing case plans, managing discovery, drafting motions and preparing for depositions, arbitration and trial. The role offers substantive responsibility on contentious matters, with opportunities to build experience in wage and hour litigation, PAGA claims and class actions. You will work closely with colleagues while taking ownership of assigned work.

The brief seeks around three to seven years of post admission California employment defense experience. You should have strong written advocacy, a practical understanding of employment disputes and the ability to progress matters through demanding deadlines. Experience acting for employers is required, and PAGA or class action exposure is particularly useful.

• The advertised annual salary range is US$150,000 to US$215,000.
