Venture Capital Associate Attorney
Advise founders and investors on the transactions that help emerging companies take their next step.
The role
Work with emerging companies, founders and venture investors on formation and financing matters. You will draft and review transaction documents, support both company side and investor side deals, and conduct due diligence and risk analysis. The remit includes SAFEs, convertible notes, equity financings and corporate governance documents, alongside day to day client requests. The role provides direct exposure to clients and practical support from senior attorneys.
What you will need
You will need a JD, Texas bar admission and around two to four years of venture law experience. Familiarity with standard venture financing documents is important, together with the ability to prepare capitalization tables and understand conversion mechanics and ownership calculations. Strong research, drafting and analytical skills are required, as is confidence working both independently and within a deal team.
