    Senior Associate, Construction Disputes

    The role

    You will join a large national contentious construction team acting for private and public sector developers, contractors and employers across the UK. Work covers disputes under all the main standard forms (JCT, NEC, ICE, FIDIC and others), PFI and bespoke contracts. You will handle adjudication, mediation, litigation and arbitration, along with dispute avoidance, contract interpretation and professional negligence claims. Most work is domestic with some international matters. You will manage junior associates, build client relationships and take part in business development, travelling between offices as needed.

    What you will need

    Qualified solicitor with 8 years or more in contentious construction.

    Experience across litigation, arbitration and adjudication.

    Good knowledge of the standard form contracts and the Building Safety Act.

    Experience of complex, high value defects disputes is a plus.

    Experience managing junior lawyers.
